When will I receive my membership card?
Your membership card should arrive within two to three weeks from time of purchase.
When are the best times to visit?
The animals are most active first thing in the morning, especially in the hot summer months, and the Zoo is least crowded in late afternoon.
May I visit before I receive my card?
Yes! Bring your photo ID and your membership receipt, or a printed copy of the e-mail confirmation from online purchases to the ZooFriends membership office in the Zoo's Main Plaza.
How can I purchase a ZooFriends membership?
You may purchase your ZooFriends membership:
  • In person at the ZooFriends front membership office in the Zoo's Main Plaza. Winter hours: Monday - Sunday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Summer hours: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
  • By phone at (405) 427-2461, ext. 618
  • By mail with the completed form. Click here to print form.

May I renew my membership online?

What are the membership levels?

May I bring guests with my membership?
That depends on your current membership level:
  • If you have a current Wildcard level, you may bring one child or adult guest each visit.
  • If you have a current Family or Grandparent level, you may bring two adults with at least one adult being listed on the card and up to 5 children under 18 years of age.
  • If you have a current Family Plus or Grandparent Plus level, you may bring one guest each visit.
  • Guests must be accompanied by one of the named card holders.
Do you offer a discount for Active Military?
Yes, OZS offers a $10 discount off any membership level for Active Military. Must be purchased in person with a valid military ID at the ZooFriends front membership office.
How do I make a correction to my online order?
Online orders generally are processed on the same day they are received. If you need to make an adjustment, please contact the Membership office immediately at (405) 427-2461, ext. 618. Or, you can click here to post a comment.
How may I change my address?
You may change your address by:
  • Stopping by the ZooFriends membership office in the Zoo's Main Plaza. Open Monday - Sunday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. during Winter and 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. during Summer.

Do members receive discounts on concessions, merchandise or strollers?
Members receive a 10 percent discount on concessions, Zoo Safari Gift shop purchases (on non-sale items), and Zoo Education classes/programs.
Stroller or electric wheelchair rental discounts are not available to members.
No discounts are available for rides. ZooFriends members at the Family Plus, Grandparent Plus or higher membership levels receive 60 $0.50 ride coupons good toward Zoo rides. Click here to learn more about membership benefits.

May I put my membership on hold?
No, all memberships become active the date of purchase and cannot be suspended.
May I transfer my membership to someone else?
No, memberships are non-transferable and are valid only for the person(s) named on card.
What if I lost my ZooFriends membership card?
Call or stop by the ZooFriends membership office in the Zoo's Main Plaza. You will be required to show photo ID. A replacement card will be issued for $2.00.
When may I use my membership? Are there blackout dates?
Your ZooFriends membership provides general admission entrance to the Oklahoma City Zoo during regular operating hours all year long.
The Zoo is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Also, the Zoo may be closed due to problems caused by weather. Click here to check the Zoo's hours.
There are no black out dates or restrictions. Membership does not cover entrance to all special events or tours.
Does OZS offer a discount to students or seniors?
No, OZS does not offer a membership discount for students or seniors.
However, throughout the year, membership discounts may be available. Click here to view membership pricing and benefits.
May I lend my membership card to a friend or family member?
No, memberships are non-transferable and are valid only for the person(s) whose name(s) appear on card. Photo ID is required for entrance at the ZooFriends membership office.
Is my membership valid at other zoos?
Yes, there are many zoos nationwide that reciprocate with the Oklahoma City Zoo. Click here for the complete list.
Do I lose any time on my membership if I renew early?
No, you do not lose any time on your membership. If you renew early, one year will be added to your existing membership expiration date.
When does my membership expire?
Your membership will expire one year from the last day of the month of the date of purchase.
