When will I receive my membership card?

Your membership card should arrive within two to three weeks from the time of purchase.

When will I receive my $30 gift card that is included in the Family Plus and Pride level memberships?

If you purchase a membership online, the gift card is included in your membership packet you receive in the mail. If you purchase a membership in office, you will receive your gift card at time of purchase.

What if my $30 gift card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately we are unable to replace lost or stolen gift cards. Please make sure you keep your gift card in a secure place.

When is the best time to visit the Zoo?

The animals are most active first thing in the morning, especially in the hot summer months. The Zoo is least crowded late in the afternoon.

May I visit the Zoo before I receive my membership card?

Yes! Bring your photo ID and your membership receipt, or a printed copy of the e-mail confirmation from your online purchase to the ZOOfriends membership office in the Zoo’s Global Plaza.

How can I purchase/renew a ZooFriends membership?

There are several ways to purchase a ZOOfriends membership.

What are the membership levels and benefits?

We have several membership levels to choose from. To view our membership levels and benefits visit our Membership page.

May I bring a guest with my membership?

Depending on your membership level, a guest may be included in your membership. If you have a Wildcard membership you may bring one child or adult each visit. If you have a Family membership you may bring two adults with at least one adult being listed on the card and up to 5 children under 18 years of age. If you have a Family Plus membership you may also bring one guest each visit.

Do you offer a discount for active military?

Yes. We offer a $10 discount off any membership level (excluding Junior memberships) for all active military. Cannot be combined with other discounts. Must have military ID at time of purchase.

How can I change my address?

You can change your address by stopping by the ZOOfriends membership office in the Zoo’s Global Plaza, calling ZOOfriends at (405) 425-0618 or sending an e-mail to friends@zoofriends.org.

How do I make a correction to my online order?

Online orders are generally processed on the same day they are received. If you need to make a correction, please contact the ZOOfriends membership office at (405) 425-0618.

Do ZooFriends members receive discounts on concessions, merchandise or strollers?

Members receive a 10% discount at concessions, at Zoo gift shops (non-sale items) and on Zoo Education classes/programs. Stroller or electric wheelchair rental discounts are not available to members.

What are Zoo hours/prices?

The Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for kids ages 3-11 and $5 for senior citizens (65-and-older). Children 2 and under are free. The Zoo is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For more information on the Zoo visit the Zoo’s web site.

What are the ZOOfriends membership office hours?

The ZOOfriends membership office, located in the Zoo’s Global Plaza, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

May I put my membership on hold?

No. All memberships become active the date of purchase and cannot be suspended.

May I transfer my membership to someone else?

No. Memberships are non-transferable and are valid only for the person(s) named on the membership card.

What if I lose my ZooFriends membership card?

You may purchase a replacement card at the ZOOfriends membership office located at the Zoo’s Global Plaza for $2. You will be required to show a photo ID.

When may I use my membership? Are there blackout dates?

Your ZOOfriends membership provides general admission entrance to the Zoo during regular operating hours all year long. The Zoo is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day and may be closed due to weather related issues. There are no blackout dates. Memberships do not cover entrance to special events or tours.

Does ZooFriends offer a discount to students or seniors?

No. We do not offer a membership discount for students or seniors. However, membership discount promotions may be available during certain times of the year.

May I lend my membership card to a friend/family member?

No. Memberships are non-transferable and are valid only for the person(s) whose name(s) appear on the membership card. A photo ID is required along with your membership card at the ZOOfriends membership entrance.

Do I lose any time on my membership if I renew early?

No. If you renew early, one year will be added to your existing membership expiration date.

When does my membership expire?

Your membership will expire one year from the last day of the month of the date of purchase.

How does my membership help the Zoo?

ZOOfriends is committed to giving 100% of your membership dollars back to the Zoo. Memberships support the care and feeding of our animals, our education programming, conservation initiatives and Zoo expansion and growth.

Is my membership tax deductible?

Yes. Memberships are tax deductible and amounts vary according to membership level purchased.

I forgot to bring my membership card; can I still visit the Zoo for free?

Yes! Just bring your photo ID and stop by the ZOOfriends membership office located in the Zoo's Global Plaza and we will verify your membership. You will be issued a temporary day pass valid for all the benefits of your membership.

Why must I show an ID with my membership card?

To prevent the misuse of your membership card, we ask that you show a photo ID. One adult named on the membership card must be present in order for Zoo admittance. This policy protects our members should their cards be lost or stolen. We appreciate your understanding.

Are memberships refundable?
