Your eMembership card should be available within 48 hours from the time of purchase.
How can I purchase/renew a ZooFriends membership?
There are several ways to purchase a ZOOfriends membership.

What are the membership levels and benefits?
We have several membership levels to choose from. To view our membership levels and benefits, visit our Membership page.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. We offer a $10 discount off any membership level for all active military, veterans, police, fire, paramedic, highway patrol and sheriff's department employees. Cannot be combined with other discounts. Must show military ID, employee badge or employee ID at the time of purchase. We do not offer a membership discount for students or seniors.
May I bring a guest with my membership?
Adventurer level memberships do not allow for any guests, but the Wildcard, Family, Safari and Expedition levels do allow for varying amounts of guests.
Wildcard level allows for one guest if only one listed adult is present. If both listed adults are present then no guests are allowed.
Family level allows for two listed adults and four children. If one listed adult is not present, then the guest taking their place must be an adult.
Safari level allows for two listed adults and 4 guests of any age. If one listed adult is not present the guest taking their place may be any age.
Expedition level allows for three listed adults and 3 guests of any age. If one or both listed adults are not present the guests taking their place may be any age.
May I put my membership on hold?
No. All memberships become active the date of purchase and cannot be suspended.
May I transfer my membership to someone else?
No. Memberships are non-transferable and are valid only for the person(s) named on the membership card.
When may I use my membership? Are there blackout dates?
Your ZOOfriends membership provides general admission entrance to the Zoo during regular operating hours all year long. The Zoo is closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day and may be closed due to weather-related issues. There are no blackout dates. Memberships do not cover entrance to special events or tours.
May I lend my membership card to a friend/family member?
No. Memberships are non-transferable and are valid only for the person(s) whose name(s) appear on the membership card. A photo ID is required along with your membership card when checking in at a ZOOfriends membership check-in window.
Do I lose any time on my membership if I renew early?
No. If you renew early, one year will be added to your existing membership expiration date.
When does my membership expire?
Your membership will expire one year from the last day of the month of the date of purchase.
How does my membership help the Zoo?
ZOOfriends is committed to giving 100% of your membership dollars back to the Zoo. Memberships support the care and feeding of our animals, our education programming, conservation initiatives and Zoo expansion and growth.
Is my membership tax deductible?
Yes. Memberships are tax deductible and amounts vary according to membership level purchased.
I forgot to bring my membership card; can I still visit the Zoo for free?
Yes! Anytime you forget your membership or eMembership card, just bring your photo ID and stop by a ZOOfriends check-in window located in the Zoo's Entry Plaza and we will verify your membership. You may also have your photo taken at the ZOOfriends membership office to have on file so no ID is required.
Why must I show an ID with my membership card?
To prevent the misuse of your membership card, we ask that you show a photo ID or have your photo on file. One adult named on the membership card must be present in order for Zoo admittance. This policy protects our members should their cards be lost or stolen. We appreciate your understanding.
Are memberships refundable?
Membership purchases are considered a donation to the Oklahoma Zoological Society and become non-refundable 24 hours after purchase or after being used for admission to the OKC Zoo. Please contact (405) 425-0622 with any questions.
How can I change my address?
You can change your address by stopping by the ZOOfriends membership office in the Zoo’s Entry Plaza, calling ZOOfriends at (405) 425-0618 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I make a correction to my online order?
Online orders are generally processed on the same day they are received. If you need to make a correction, please contact the ZOOfriends membership office at (405) 425-0618.
Do ZooFriends members receive discounts on concessions, merchandise or strollers?
Members receive a 10% discount at concessions, at Zoo gift shops (non-sale items) and on Zoo Education classes/programs. Stroller or electric wheelchair rental discounts are not available. You must present your membership or eMembership card to get a discount.
What are the ZOOfriends membership office hours?
The ZOOfriends membership office, located in the Zoo’s Entry Plaza, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What are Zoo hours/prices?
The Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $9 for children ages 3-11 and $9 for senior citizens (65-and-older). Children 2 and under are free. The Zoo is closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. For more information on the Zoo visit the Zoo’s web site.
When is the best time to visit the Zoo?
The animals are most active first thing in the morning, especially in the hot summer months. The Zoo is least crowded late in the afternoon.
